2020 – Defending Secular Rights
Secular organizations across the Philippines united in opposition to the proposed Magna Carta of Religious Freedom, a bill that threatened the rights of secularists and non-religious individuals.
2021 – Founding of the Philippine Pastafarian Church (PPC)
To level the legal and institutional playing field, the Philippine Pastafarian Church was established—demonstrating how religious privileges could also be used to advocate for the rights of secular and non-religious communities.
2022 – Launch of Secular Filipinos for Better Governance (SFBG)
Amid the 2022 national elections, SFBG emerged as a non-religious initiative to promote progressive, humanist-aligned political engagement and advocate for evidence-based governance.
2023 – Philippine Secular Summit
Secular organizations reconvened in 2023 to strengthen collaboration and call for the abolition of blasphemy laws, culminating in the first Philippine Secular Summit 2024—a unified stand for secularism and freedom of belief.
2024 – Establishment of Humanist PH
Humanist PH was formally established to serve as the steward of the Philippine Secular Summit. It brought together PPC and SFBG under one umbrella to champion humanism as a life stance for Filipinos—grounded in reason, compassion, and human dignity.
